Railway crossing general

Level crossing are where train tracks pass over the road. It is important to understand the signs relating to each type of crossing and how each one works.

On approach a warning sign will be displayed, this will informing of a level crossing ahead and allow the driver to identify the type of controls at the crossing, eg , with/without gate/ barrier, light signals and also if overhead electrified cables are present.
