The National Standard was written by the DVSA in March 2010 and updated in 2017. The Standards sets out the skills, knowledge and understanding that all drivers need to be safe and responsible driver.
The Standard applies to all drivers of driving licence category B. Its is particularly useful source of reference for drivers, driving instructors and their trainers.
The Standard is divided into five roles
This advice given in this Part Two Driving Workbook complies and compliments the National Standard.
Reference to the relevant National Standard role, unit and element are provided so that ADI trainers and Part Two test candidates can source the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to become safe, responsible “advanced” driver.
